World Health Organization bids goodbye to Dr Chan and celebrates her achievements

Dr Margaret Chan’s term as Director-General of World Health Organization comes to an end. WHO shares some of the successes, setbacks and enduring challenges of the past decade in global public health.

A report by Dr Chan “Ten years in public health 2007-2017” chronicles the evolution of global public health during her tenure as Director-General of WHO. It evaluates WHO’s work and emphasizes the importance of country leadership and community engagement.
