The World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (WAPR) is organising the XIII WAPR World Congress ”Recovery, Citizenship, Human Rights; Reviewing consensus”, which will be held from 5th to 7th July 2018 in the Municipal Conference Centre of Madrid, Spain.

The Congress will become the meeting point of many professionals in order to further their knowledge in the Psychosocial Rehabilitation of persons with mental illness.
WAPR is an international NGO, with representation in more that 40 countries from all continents, composed mainly by interdisciplinary mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational-therapists, social educators, etc.) WAPR’s principles include the interest of maintaining a fluid open dialogue with service users and the families movement.
The mission of WAPR is the dissemination of principles and practices of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery in mental health. That means: access to appropriate treatments and programmes aimed to provide opportunities for people with disabilities due to mental health problems to develop an inclusive life in the community, with treatment, job, housing and social participation.
The Congress will be held in the cosmopolitan city of Madrid, with its elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks, which together with the cultural activities and fine cuisine it offers, will contribute to a pleasant stay for the delegates in the capital city.
