V ALL-RUSSIAN INTERUNIVERSITY SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE “MENTAL HEALTH: MODERN TRENDS & PROSPECTS”

The Union for Mental Health in cooperation with the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (Moscow), the Rostov State Medical University  of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Rostov-on-Don), and the Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Voronezh) will hold the V All-Russian Interuniversity Scientific Conference “Mental Health: Modern Trends & Prospects” on 20 May at  4 pm (Moscow time).

The Conference is aimed at raising awareness on mental health via presentation of modern approaches to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental and behavioral disorders among senior students at medical universities in Russia. It will serve also for developing networks and cooperation in mental health field between Russian universities and improving attitudes to psychiatry as a one of the leading sciences in mental health.

The keynote report ‘Advances on Person-centered Psychiatry and Medicine” will be delivered by Professor Juan E. Mezzich, Secretary General of the International College of Person Centered Medicine (ICPCM), Tenured Professor of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, Hipolito Unanue, Chair of Person Centered Medicine at San Marcos University School of Medicine, and Editor of the International Journal of Person Centered Medicine (USA). The Conference is the part of the All-Russian Interuniversity Educational Program for students of medical and non-medical universities – future specialists in the field of mental health.
