Expert Opinion of Marvin Formosa, Director, International Institute on Ageing (United Nations – Malta) & Head of Department of Gerontology, University of Malta & Chairman, National Commission for Active Ageing (Malta)

“The II Congress on Mental Health provides a distinct opportunity for the sharing of best practices, promoting educational opportunities, and facilitating productive debates on all areas of mental health at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood, and finally, later life. International experts from all over the globe will present how safeguarding mental health is crucial for both economic progress and psycho-social progress in contemporary societies. The Congress will certainly assist participants in enabling individuals, irrespective of age and gender, to reach a state of well-being through which they realise their own potential, cope well with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully, and are able to make a contribution to the wider social community”.
