WPA’s Regional Congress“Interdisciplinary understanding of co-morbidity in psychiatry: from science to integrated care”
WPA, in partnership with the Russian Society of Psychiatrists (RSP), is holding the WPA’s Regional Congress “Interdisciplinary understanding of co-morbidity in psychiatry: from science to integrated care” on 16-18 May 2021.
This is a place where psychiatrists, other mental health professionals, policy makers and service users from all over the world meet to discuss the new high-technology research possibilities in the study of mental disorders, along with advances in psychological fields of psychiatric and mental health research. “Recent data from basic sciences have opened a new perspective on the understanding of comorbidity of mental and somatic disorders, as well as comorbidity and syndromes overlapping between different groups of mental disorders themselves. This faces specialists with a challenge to reconsider the existing understanding and classification approach to mental illnesses”, from the Welcome Address of Organizing Committee Co-chairs: Prof. Afzal Javed & Prof. Nikolay Neznanov.
Natalia Treushnikova, the President of the Union for Mental Health, is the member of the Organizing Committee. She will present two reports including “Adolescent mental health and well-being in times of COVID-19 in Russia” on May 16 and “All-Russian Mental Health Educational Program for University Students” on May 17.
