MENTAL HEALTH AND EDUCATION. MENTAL HEALTH EXPERTS COMMENT ON TOPICAL ISSUES. DONALD NEMETH, PH.D.

Dr. Donald Nemeth, Ph.D.

“Environmental challenges can be especially taxing on people’s mental health and well-being. Few are prepared to deal with the aftermath of earthquakes, nuclear disasters, floods, and/or sudden catastrophes. As these possibilities are ever-present, people must understand the effects of climate change. Furthermore, they must be prepared to cope with their ever-changing physical and psychological environments. The purpose of this Congress is to offer a holistic approach to fostering Mental Health and Well-Being in perspective. Understanding the environment and its impact on well-being will better help people to cope with change. Pre-trauma education is an effective way to avoid post-trauma panic”.

Dr. Donald F. Nemeth will will give a report within the framework of the II Congress : Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century
