Final Report for 2020

Dear colleagues! Dear friends!

First, I would like to thank you for being with us during this difficult year, supporting us in difficult times and strengthening us in our work for the benefit of those for whom we work.
Secondly, I cannot but note that the common misfortune brought us all together and, strange as it may sound during the period of forced isolation, contributed to unification and cooperation. We began to communicate more often through online meetings and conferences, which we did not have enough time for before, and come to joint, sometimes difficult decisions.
Third, during the pandemic, we all had the opportunity to understand more deeply all the processes that take place in the prevention of mental disorders, improving the quality of health and life of people with mental disabilities. In particular, the Union for Mental Health conducted a number of scientific studies, the results of which became the basis for the preparation of the Strategy for 2020 – 2025, as well as new programs in the field of mental health.
Finally, I am particularly pleased to know that the Union for Mental Health was able to contribute to the common cause of preserving the mental health during the COVID 19 pandemic by preparing recommendations and projects on psychological support for children and adolescents, as well as medical professionals.
I wish you all health and prosperity, well-being and peace in the coming new year and look forward to continuing our joint work for the benefit of preserving the mental health and psychological well-being of people!

Best regards,
Natalia Treushnikova, President of the Union for Mental Health
