The WHO Mental Health Forum Report
The WHO Mental Health Forum is held annually with the objective to foster productive exchanges and learning through the interaction of a diverse group of stakeholders acting to advance the global mental health agenda, including Member States, international and non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and WHO Collaborating Centres.
The focus for this year’s Forum was on transformation, both in terms of changing attitudes and deepening commitments towards mental health across the world but also revitalizing mental health services and systems.
The Forum, organized in two 3-hour sessions from October 10 – 11, provided participants the opportunity to participate in discussions lead by world leaders in the field of mental health, substance use and brain health around a variety of topics, as set out in the sections below. Once again, the Mental Health Forum brought to the table stimulating and insightful conversations, which are highlighted in this report.
