DR. AFZAL JAVED,IMMEDIATE PAST PRESIDENT WORLD ASSOCIATION FOR PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION, HAS JOINED THE INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

Dr. Afzal Javed,MBBS,MCPS, D.PSYCH (LONDON), BOARD CERT.PSYCH (UK), F.R.C.Psych.(UK), M.PHIL (EDINBURGH),FRCP (Ireland), Immediate Past President World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (WAPR), Secretary for Sections World Psychiatric Association (WPA),has joined the International Organizing Committee of the Congress:Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century.

Dr.Afzal Javed is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Coventry&Warwickshire NHS Trust at Nuneaton. He is an Honorary Clinical Associate Teacher at Warwick Medical School,University of Warwick UK. He also holds the position of Chairman Pakistan Psychiatric Research Centre, Fountain House,Lahore (Pakistan).

He has served the UK Royal College of Psychiatrists as Deputy/Associate Registrar&member Board of International Affairs of the College.

His role in international psychiatry is highlighted by his involvement as:

– Secretary for Sections World Psychiatric Association (WPA)
– President Elect Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations (AFPA)
– Immediate Past President World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (WAPR)
– Chairman Pakistan Psychiatric Research Centre, Fountain House, Lahore, Pakistan
