LEADERSHIP OF THE II CONGRESS ON MENTAL HEALTH: MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE XXI CENTURY

(19-21 October 2018, Moscow, Russia)
 
The Union for Mental Health of Russia announces that the II Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century will be jointly hosted by International and Local Organizing Committees, represented by the leaders of the major global and Russian both governmental and non-governmental organizations acting in the field of mental health.
 
The Congress International Organizing Committee (CIOC), including 26 members from 23 countries, is headed by Professor Norman Sartorius, the President of the Association for the Improvement of Mental Health Programmes (AMH).

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) includes 22 Russian leaders and is headed by the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, Igor Kagramanyan.

The Scientific Committee of the Congress, aimed at providing independent scientific advice on respective issues, includes 22 experts (15 Russian and 7 international) in respective areas.

The II Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century has the great honor to be co-sponsored by the major global professional organizations in mental health including the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), the World Association of Social Psychiatry (WASP), the World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation (WAPR), the World Council for Psychotherapy (WCP), the Action for Mental Health (AMH), the International Association on Social Security (ISSA), the Autism Europe, the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG-ER Clinical Section), the International Society for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis, and the others.
 
The II Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century has been granted patronage on behalf the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation.
