IV All-Russian Interuniversity Scientific Conference “Mental Health: Modern Trends & Prospects”

The Union for Mental Health in cooperation with the Stavropol State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Stavropol, Russia), the Siberian State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Tomsk, Russia), and the Samara State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Samara, Russia) will hold the IV All-Russian Interuniversity Scientific Conference “Mental Health: Modern Trends & Prospects” on 15 April at 11 a.m. (Moscow time).

The Conference is aimed at raising awareness on mental health via presentation of modern approaches to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental and behavioral disorders among senior students at medical universities in Russia. It will serve also for developing networks and cooperation in mental health field between Russian universities and improving attitudes to psychiatry as a one of the leading sciences in mental health.

The keynote report “The WPA 2020-2023 Action Plan” will be delivered by Professor Afzal Javed, President of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), Consultant Psychiatrist at the UK NHS, Honorary Clinical Associate Teacher at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick UK and honorary Chairman of the Pakistan Psychiatric Research Centre, Fountain House, Lahore, Pakistan (UK).

The Conference is the part of the All-Russian Interuniversity Educational Program for students of medical and non-medical universities – future specialists in the field of mental health.
