I All-Russian Contest for Students “October – the Month for Mental Health Care”

World Mental Health Day is celebrated each year throughout the world on 10th October. The theme for this year is “Making mental health and well-being for all a global priority” (Informational source: The WHO Newsletter).

The Union for Mental Health has launched the I All-Russian contest of Student Projects “October is the Month for Mental Health Care”, dedicated to the World Mental Health Day.

The Contest is aimed at improving the quality of mental health services and increasing their accessibility for all categories of the Russian population through:

– development of preventive and psychosocial rehabilitation programs.
– formation of student volunteer movement in Russian universities.
– preparation of innovative community based medical and non-medical technologies.

Russian universities are invited to participate.

Students are invited to prepare and implement projects aimed at the prevention of mental disorders, psychosocial rehabilitation, and socialization of people with mental disabilities. Within the framework of the program, assistance can be provided to children, adolescents, youth, the working population, the elderly from October 3 to October 31, 2022. The best student projects will be supported by small grants and diplomas. The best medical and non-medical practices will be recommended for use in the regions.
