VI All-Russian online Conference «MENTAL HEALTH: MODERN TRENDS & PROSPECTS»

The Union for Mental Health (Moscow) in cooperation with the Far Eastern State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Khabarovsk), the Tver State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Tver), and the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Saint-Petersburg) will hold online the VI All-Russian Interuniversity Scientific Conference “Mental Health: Modern Trends & Prospects” on 25 November at  10 am (Moscow time).

The Conference is aimed at raising awareness on mental health via presentation of modern approaches to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental and behavioral disorders among senior students at medical universities in Russia. It will serve also for developing networks and cooperation in mental health field between Russian universities and improving attitudes to psychiatry as a one of the leading sciences in mental health.

The keynote report “Responding to  mental health needs during and after the COVID-19 pandemic” will be delivered by Professor Helen Herrman, MD, MBBS, BMedSc, FRANZCP, FFPH, FAFPHM, Past President of the World Psychiatric Association (WPA), Professor of Psychiatry at the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health, and the Centre for Youth Mental Health at the University of Melbourne, Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Mental Health, Melbourne, Strategic Advisor, Orygen Global (Australia).

The Conference is the part of the All-Russian Interuniversity Educational Program for Students of Medical and Non-Medical Universities – future specialists in the field of mental health.
