The Ministry of Education of Russia Considers It Important to Strengthen Psychological and Pedagogical Support for Schoolchildren, Teachers and Parents

The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has sent Recommendations to strengthen psychological and pedagogical support for schoolchildren, teachers and parents during the ourbreak of the COVID-19 to the regional psychological educational services. They are designed to help coping with psychological discomfort during the transition to a new on-line learning environment.
The document was developed by the Union for Mental Health of Russia on the base of the WHO recommendations.

The psychological assistance is carried out within the framework of the Federal Project “Support for Families with Children” that is the part of the National Project “Education”. The psychosocial assistance  includes on-line consultations by psychologists and the phone children’s helpline. The Recommendations detail the algorithm for parents, following which they can create a comfortable environment for the child, and also give advice on how to behave if they experience anxiety.
