RUSSIAN BUSINESS FOR MENTAL HEALTH

The participation in the award competition is open to socially-oriented business leaders of the Northwestern Federal District of Russia.
The Awards Ceremony will be held on October 13, 2017 within the framework of the III “The Different Ones?” Festival of Mental Health Rehabilitation Programmes in Russia in St. Petersburg.
Social Responsibility of Business involves voluntary decisions of a company to direct a part of its resources and efforts to the social development. These types of social investments activities are carried out apart of commercial obligations, but are based on the principle of mutual benefit.
The mental health rehabilitation system achieved a multiway social support from Russian business, including certain mechanisms of interaction with psychiatric institutions, social protection institutions, and NGOs. The number of Russian companies involved in projects of generating employment for people with mental disorders is constantly increasing.
Nowadays, the enterprises have developed and are actively implementing targeted assistance programs for people with mental disorders, including: charity, public private partnerships, joint projects in psychiatry (workshops, rehabilitation centers, children’s rehabilitation camps, volunteer teams).
Russian business supports sustainable social development in corresponding regions by helping disadvantaged social groups.
