MENTAL HEALTH AND EDUCATION: EXPERT OPINION BY Zsuzsanna Szilvasy (Hungary)

MENTAL HEALTH AND EDUCATION: PERSONAL EXPERT OPINION BY Zsuzsanna Szilvasy (Hungary)

“I do believe in education. The education is meant to take us to the future. I also believe in the extraordinary capacity that children have. All of them! With or without Mental Health Issues. We need to radically rethink our view   of intelligence. Every child has strengths, even the most affected ones with Mental Disorders. We have to focus on that, in the aim of help them to achieve their full capacity.

Albert Einstein said: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” We have to transform the forms and methods of education to the child. I deeply believe that every child can increase and develop, we just have to find the right way to educate them.”
