#LOVEDIVERSITY BY UNESCO CHAIR AT IT TRALEE

The UNESCO Chair on Inclusive Physical Education, Sport, Recreation & Fitness at the Institute of Technology Tralee announced a new initiative – the “#LoveDiversity”.

#LoveDiversity is a photo shoot event celebrating diversity and physical activity. The project will gather photos and videos of people with and without disabilities, people from diverse backgrounds, age and gender participating in fun physical activities together. The UNESCO Chair in Inclusive PE, Sport, Recreation and Fitness would like to use this footage to advocate for inclusion of all across all areas of society. Using inclusive images of people – with and without disabilities, of all genders and ethnicities – engaging in physical activity can trigger social change while showing the groups represented in the images that they are welcome and provided for.

The UNESCO Chair in Inclusive PE, Sport, Recreation and Fitness invites everyone to join this movement to create a bank of images that can be used by members of the UNESCO Chair and the Global Partnership of Children with Disabilities (GPcwd) to promote inclusive activity and  organise an activity at your organisation around February 14th (Valentine’s Day). The initiative can be spread widely including the hashtag: #LoveDiversity.

More information about the movement can be found on http://unescoittralee.com/projects/love-diversity/.
