“On behalf of the Kyrgyz Psychiatric Association and the staff of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Addiction of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, I would like personally to extend greetings to the participants of the Congress and all professionals working in the field of mental health protection.
I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the Congress on Mental Health: Meeting the Needs of the XXI Century for their hard work in preparing this important event and for the invitation to join the International Organizing Committee.
The topic of the Congress, its interdisciplinary nature and participation of professionals from all over the world reflect the fact that we face a variety of problems in the field of mental health protection.
Mental health amelioration, prevention and effective treatment of mental disorders are essential for the protection, improvement of the quality of life and well-being of citizens and society as a whole. It is very important to insure multidisciplinary cooperation and collaboration, where each sector of society has its own role and responsibility in mental health protection efforts.
Psychiatry is currently undergoing reform, and every one of us is facing a variety of questions and problems connected with this difficult process. I am confident that we will be able to identify the proper direction and the actions needed to implement change successfully and effectively, and that we will be able to find the most beneficial ways of achieving interdisciplinary scientific collaboration and providing high-quality mental healthcare services for our citizens in the course of this Congress.
I wish success, fruitful collaboration, mutual understanding and new ideas to the Congress participants”.
