World NGO Day

World NGO Day is an international calendar day annually observed on 27 February. Officially recognized and declared by the 12 member countries of the IX Baltic Sea NGO Forum of the Council of the Baltic Sea States in 2010 and first time marked by the UN, EU leaders and international organizations in 2014.

The Union for Mental Health, covering the activities of non-profit organizations of the Russian Federation working in the field of medical and social rehabilitation and psychological and pedagogical assistance to children and adults with mental disabilities, is holding a series of online conferences “Psychosocial Rehabilitation and the Non-Profit Sector”. The project is aimed at broadcasting the current experience of NGOs, identifying and analyzing the needs of NGOs and service recipients, and developing forms of cooperation with non-profit organizations in mental health field.
