Behavioural Sciences

Co-curated with: University of Siegen

The behavioural sciences are a powerful tool that can be wielded by individuals, companies, and governments to engender responsible decision-making and significantly improve the quality of life. Whether it is by helping people improve their eating habits or boost their retirement savings, by aiding a company’s bid to engender better team spirit, or simply by helping governments to encourage people to pay their taxes, the behavioural sciences have a significant role to play in smoothing society’s path amid the dramatic change accompanying the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

This briefing is based on the views of a wide range of experts from the World Economic Forum’s Expert Network and is curated in partnership with Marie Hennecke, Senior Research and Teaching Associate in the Department of Psychology at the University of Zurich.
